Greetings! I am Angeline Crowder, gemstone fanatic and jewelry artist. I work from my small home studio in the wine country outside Portland, Oregon. I live with my three amazing children and four fur babies. My shop is called by Angeline.

I dreamed of creating art with crystals, rocks and gemstones my entire life. I’ve been collecting and digging for finds since I was four, and I started selling rocks from door to door in my neighborhood when I was five. Many years later, as fate would have it, I was injured while working as a raft guide in the Colorado Rockies, and vocational rehab sent me to jeweler’s school. There, I fell in love with wax working and casting.

I create one-of-a-kind settings for one-of-a-kind stones to be worn by one-of-a-kind people. I carve each setting in wax by hand, then replicate its shape with gold and silver using the lost-wax casting process. I purchase my precious metals from a family-run refinery in Portland that recycles old jewelry, and my stones come from conflict-free dealers and families of miners that I’ve met over the years. I love showcasing the earth’s natural treasures by setting them in gold. Transforming precious metal with fire feels like magic!

Etsy allows me to create the life I dream of. I get to be at home with my children and still connect with amazing people from all over the world; I get to hear the most romantic love stories and be part of the most special moments in people’s lives; and I get to share my passion and pour my heart and soul into my work. I love every minute of what I do.

This year, I’m sending my son to the same jewelry school I went to in Portland, and I look forward to watching him start his own Etsy shop. As for me, I am excited for all the new stones I have this year and I plan to keep creating new work every day and expanding my collection.
