- Contour more of your nose than you think is necessary: Not only is Kim's nose shaded from the browbone all the way down, but most of the skin on her nostrils is shaded as well. This will create a serious slimming effect.
- Always highlight down the center of your nose: A perfect contour is nothing without a highlight! You should create a stripe of light color down your nose, starting from between your brows down to the tip. Keep the line steady and symmetrical, but feel free to play with the width depending on how narrow you want your nose to appear.
- Add subtle shade to the tip of your nose: You have to look very closely to see this, but the end of Kim's nose has a bit of contour on it. This will prevent your nose from looking too long. However, you should skip this step if you have a short button nose.
- Use matching contouring colors in the hollows of your cheekbones and around your forehead: Everything should look natural and seamless — using the same products and shades will prevent any weird mismatching issues while balancing your overall look.
- Finish your contouring look with a bit of shading along your eye sockets: This will complete the illusion of goddess-level bone structure.
- Always remember to blend: While you do want to maintain the integrity of the lines you've created as you buff them out, they should not look like actual lines drawn on your face.

1. Know Your Type
The first trick to styling yourself slimmer is to determine your body shape. There are basic body shapes like; pear, apple, straight and hourglass.
Once you know which shape you are, you should aim to keep your upper and lower halves balanced.
Pear- For a full-hipped, small-chested this might mean a dark, simple shape on the bottom and a playful, bold blouse on top.
Apples- Broad shouldered might consider more of a fitted top and a fun, flared skirt.
Hourglass and straight body types can invest in belts to highlight or create waistlines."
When you do slip into skinny jeans or leggings, go looser on your top to balance the look out.
Dresses with dark side panels narrow your frame and color-blocked garments give you some shape. Strategically placed prints emphasize and enhance or minimize your figure.

- Practice self-care- Get enough sleep to feel revitalized; attend a yoga class or go for a run; fill your fridge with healthy whole foods; drink plenty of water; and schedule in time for fun, adventure or relaxation. Value yourself enough to make self-care practices a regular part of your routine. This applies to mothers too, take time to take care of yourself so you can take proper care of your child.
- Learn to empathize with and root for yourself- Our inner voice can be a critical and demanding taskmaster. We speak to ourselves using harsh words we would never dream of directing towards other people. Start treating yourself like you would a friend or loved one. Be kind and gentle with yourself, especially when you're suffering fear, anxiety or pain. Give yourself encouragement and celebrate your better moments. When you have a decision to make, ask yourself: "What would someone who loved themselves do?" or what would i tell someone i love if they were in this situation?
- Respect your uniqueness and allow your authenticity- We cause ourselves so much pain and suffering when we stifle our true nature and ignore our burning desires and dreams, for the sake of fitting in with the status quo and meeting the expectations of others. Ask yourself would God make a mistake by creating you? You are a one-of-a-kind unprecedented human being. There will never again be someone quite like you, and you are here to give the world your own special blend of gifts, passions, interests and quirks. Allowing yourself to show up to life as your authentic self is one of the most empowering things you can do, and it can profoundly enrich your relationship with yourself. As Angelina Jolie said at the KCA "Different is good," so give yourself permission to be own person and see how happy and healthy you will be.
- Give yourself the space to feel your emotions- When an event or person triggers a strong feeling of anger or pain inside of you, or you simply wake up feeling irritable for no reason, don't beat yourself up for letting it get to you, or attempt to suffocate your suffering. Instead, try surrendering to the feeling. Observe where in your body you can feel the pain, with patience, love and an understanding that it is not who you truly are. It will soon fade if you don't cling to it or exacerbate it with negative thinking.
- Practice gratitude for yourself and your body- Instead of focusing on what you perceive to be 'wrong' with you, focus on all of the amazing things you do have to offer. Energy flows where attention goes, so the more you shift your perception towards your positive attributes, the more of them you will uncover. It's also important to remember that your body is just a play thing for your spirit. Love it, have fun with it, take care of it and feel appreciation for all of the wonderful things it enables you to do, but don't invest your self-worth in your appearance. You are not a body, you have a body - you are a soul.

- You're not afraid to see each other at your worst: Is your hair askew and mascara running from last night's festivities? Not a problem. Unshaven and no energy to brush your teeth? No big deal. Doesn't phase you in the slightest anymore.
- You secretly spy on your neighbours: You don't have cable and their lives are actually pretty interesting.
- You play childhood pranks on each other... and they're hilarious.
- You laugh at each other when the other person falls down: The circumstances surrounding the fall are irrelevant. You both agree that all falls are hilarious.
- You do sexy dances for each other: However, they are neither sexy, nor dances.
- You find free ways to entertain yourselves at home: No, it's not sex and yes, it sometimes lands you in the ER.
- You inspect each other for random ailments... and random body hairs.

- Serve finger-foods: From cucumber sandwiches to mini burger sliders, finger-food is perfect for creating a relaxed and elegant affair. For a tea party-themed shower, arrange several tiered cupcake towers with a mix of mini sandwiches, scones, and biscuits. Since most bridal showers are during the daytime, whatever you choose, the key here is serving easy-to-eat food that’s light and refreshing.
- Set the tone with an interesting invitation: Planning a wedding is all about compromise, since you and your partner are likely going into this with different ideas of what makes a perfect ceremony. The bridal shower is where you get to display whatever style and colours you’re loving at the moment. If you’re the host planning for the bride, make sure to get an idea of her favourite colours and ideas for a bridal shower.
- Go for sophisticated florals for table decor: Forget those cheesy paper decorations and party confetti — sophisticated floral centerpieces are all you need for a chic bridal shower. Get vases from around the house or purchase an assortment in a bright hue, then simply fill with the bride’s favourite store-bought flowers.
- Create a stylish decor: Now is the time to recreate all those crafts that you’ve been adding to your Pinterest board for the last five years. It’s much easier to make those super cute, DIY teacup candles for an intimate bridal shower than it is for even a medium-sized wedding.
- Share sweets while opening presents: Sometimes the present unwrapping can end up taking over the shower, especially if the bride doesn’t keep things moving along while opening. To avoid this, keep everyone entertained with fun desserts and candies during this part of the shower to make the time fly. Stick with small treats for easy snacking while mingling.
- Have a chic cocktail bar: Whether it’s punch or margaritas, everyone loves a good drink bar. This idea doubles as decor — cover a buffet table in a cute table cloth and set out champagne, a mix of juice options, and bowls full of fruit for garnish. Finish the set up with colourful paper cards to label each item and help guide guests.
- Give your guests useful favours: Take your shower to the next level with cute gift bags or favours for your guests. You can't go wrong with homemade jars of jam (or store-bought!) wrapped in colourful fabric and tied at the top; it’ll be a hit with the old ladies and college friends alike.

- Water with Lemon- A lot of people skip sipping on water when they are bloated, when in reality they should be doing the opposite. "People tend to think that when they're holding on to water they should cut back drinking it, but that's not the case," says David Grotto, RD, a FITNESS advisory board member and author of 101 Foods That Could Save Your Life and The Best Things You Can Eat. Retaining water is actually your body's way of holding on to fluid so you don't dehydrate. If you're having a bloating problem, that's the time you want to push fluids, not restrict them, says Grotto. Since lemons are a natural diuretic and a gentle laxative when added to warm water, consuming the liquid can help reduce the amount of salt retained in the body. Just make sure you drink from the glass and not through a straw, so you don't take in any extra air.
- Watermelon- All kinds of melons are beneficial to your health, but watermelon is known as one of the juiciest fruits on the stand. That's probably because it consists of 92 percent water. According to Grotto, it also has a natural diuretic property and is a great source of potassium. "The balance between sodium and potassium is important when it comes to controlling bloat," he says. For DIY spa water, try mixing lemon, cucumber, watermelon, and rosemary for an ultimate belly-deflating fix. (A word of caution: You may need to use the restroom more than usual when sipping on this.)
- Yogurt- Since a lot of people are sensitive to lactose, it's better to opt for yogurt instead of milk in your next smoothie, especially the kind with live active cultures in it. "Yogurt is already pre-digested and the milk sugar is broken down, where as in milk it's not, which can create gas and bloating," says Newgent. The nature of the active cultures lactobacillus and acidophilus found in yogurt can improve symptoms of bloating. Stir in some melon for an ultimate bloat-busting snack!
